I have had the recommendation from a customer to explain our postage charges, as alot of people expect free or cheap postage.

Our postage is probably more expensive than a lot of large companies and it is down to us being so small, so we do not get the competitive rates from Royal Mail or courier companies at the moment. I think we will need to triple in size before that can happen unfortunately. 

We do not make money on our postage charges or packing charge, it only covers our expenses.  If the system calculates the postage wrongly (occasionally this happens), I always refund the difference back to our customers.

We have a range of postage options available to customers and have recently found out that it is chaeper for our customers if we do not use our Royal Mail business account (April 23). We have also taken an account out with another courier company which allows us to offer DHL parcels (this company used to be UK Mail).

I have tried many cheaper courier companies, but I have so many issues either with the orders not being collected or in delieveries not occuring in the time frame, or saying they attempted delivery when they did not. DHL have never let us down (so far I hope I am not tempting any issues saying this), but they are more expensive than others, They also deliver next day to most of the UK and alot of Europe.

European and worldwide

We can send to Europe and the rest of the world, but many orders are returned to us either due to customers not wanting to pay customs charges or because of issues in customs.  As a result, we are now only sending via courier, as these parcels get through customs easier and if there is a problem they actually arrive back.  Also, we are no longer able to import into Portugal - if you would like to arrange collection yourself - we are more than happy to send products to you.
