I think the human body is the most amazing machine, and if we let it do what it wants/needs to do and what comes naturally to it, give it the materials it needs to run, it will surprise you. It has everything built in and is way more clever than we give it credit for.
The doctors haven't even discovered how everything works properly yet, they are still discovering and rediscovering and correcting discoveries all the time.
We, unfortunately also have a huge amount of toxins in our environment, from weed killers our foods and soils to estragon and fluoride in our water, so where ever possible our body's need a little help. Once again it's our trusty liver that gets rid of toxins from our body's too, but your gut biome can also help.
By keeping your gut biome healthy and strong will protect you from just about anything, from the common cold to brain related issues like forgetfulness. Yes your gut biome talks to your brain via the vagus nerve. Everything in your body is connected and communicating, its balancing and fixing, building and making better.
When I choose a probiotic, I pick one that has more types of probiotics (5 or more, preferably more) rather than the number of organisms, diversity is important. The next step is to feed them with prebiotics like onions, garlic, resistant starch. Looking after your gut biome is essential as it doesn’t just keep you from being sick, it also helps create the hormones you require to function.
Until next time…
