I am 50 year old father of 3 who enjoys participating in endurance sports since completing the 2015 Marathon des Sables. I then became interested in triathlon and in 2016 completed the Deva 1/2 Ironman in a time of 4hr 47min, and later in the year the Brecon 10peaks ultra mountain race. My training for these races was fuelled using a typical high carb diet and racing using gels and sugary snacks.
I then became interested in racing Ironman triathlon and my research led me to UCAN superstarch and the LCHF diet. Since following this approach I have completed in 2017 the Grafman 1/2 Ironman (finished 2nd in age group), UK Ironman (13th in age group) and Wales Ironman (33rd age group) all fueled by UCAN in training and racing. One noticeable fact is that my recovery following hard training and racing has significantly improved using UCAN rather than gels, and also never sufferin
